Die Ausstellung des Von der Heydt-Museums Freiheit, Macht und Pracht setzt sich daher zum Ziel, diesen Gegensatz zwischen Kriegen einerseits und Friedenszeiten mit neuem Wohlstand und aufblühenden Künsten andererseits aufzuzeigen.

Nieuw licht De Haagse School onthuld

Gemeentemuseum organiseert een tentoonstelling over de Haagse School vanuit een nieuwe invalshoek, waarin symboliek en betekenis van de voorstelling centraal staan. In deze tentoonstelling draait alles om het leven en werk van de afgebeelde personages. De Haagse School staat vooral bekend om de sfeervolle landschappen, maar dat die het decor vormen waarin zich van alles afspeelt, heeft tot nu toe weinig aandacht gekregen.
